Monckton Chambers has a strong tradition of advising and representing public and private sector clients in the financial services sector on a broad range of issues. We have appeared in numerous high profile disputes in this area and have developed an understanding of and familiarity with the technical and economic issues specific to the sector.
We regularly advise and represent clients in competition and tax investigations conducted in this sector by the European Commission, Competition Commission, Office of Fair Trading and Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs. We have acted on behalf of financial institutions, consumers, businesses and government entities in challenges to regulatory findings and in cross-border and shareholder disputes.
We have also been involved in numerous consumer, human rights, judicial review and State aid disputes within this sector.
